Shivaji Satam Biography: He is an Indian television and film actor. He is best known for his role as ACP Pradyuman in the detective television series CID.
Early Life and Education of Shivaji Satam
He was born on April 21, 1950, in Mumbai, Maharashtra (India). Shivaji Satam went to school at Antonio D’Souza High School in Byculla, Mumbai, and thereafter boarded at Barnes High School, Devlali. He is a chemistry graduate from the University of Mumbai. He also earned a diploma in business administration and worked for the Central Bank before entering the film industry.
Shivaji Satam’s Career
Shivaji has appeared in numerous Hindi and Marathi films. Shivaji made his television debut in the serial Rishte Naate (1980), followed by his Bollywood debut in the 1987 film Pestonjee.
Satam appeared in the award-winning movie English, August (1994).
In 1997, he starred in two films: Yeshwant (1997) as a police inspector, and Ghulam-E-Musthafa (1997) as Dayanand Dixit. He received a Star Screen Award nomination for Best Actor for his role in Ghulam-E-Musthafa (1997).
However, his big break came in 1998 with the television series C.I.D. The show aired for twenty years.
He also appeared in the crime drama Split Wide Open (1999).
In 2001, he played a doctor in the Marathi film Ek Hoti Vadi (2001).
Uttarayan, his second Marathi film, was released in 2004. He followed that with four more Marathi releases: De Dhakka (2008), Haapus (2010), De Dhakka 2 (2022), and Bamboo (2023).

Shivaji has received numerous awards, including the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Award, the Maharashtra State Film Award, and the Gold Award.
In 2002, he won the Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance as ACP Pradyuman.
