Sharvari Wagh grew up in a Marathi family. On June 14, 1997, she was born in Mumbai. She attended The Dadar Parsee Youths Assembly High School in Mumbai before earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Ruparel College in Mumbai. She then completed a nine-month acting course at Jeff Goldberg Studio.
Her father, Shailesh Wagh, is a builder, and her mother, Narmata Wagh, is an architect. Her sister, Kasturi Wagh, is an architect, and she has a younger brother, Arnav Wagh. Manohar Joshi, a well-known Shiv Sena leader and former chief minister of Maharashtra, was her maternal grandfather and the 13th Speaker of the Lok Sabha.
Career of Sharvari Wagh
Sharvari Wagh started modeling when she was sixteen. She participated in and won the Queen & Clear Fresh Face competition in 2013. In addition, she has starred in several TV commercials and modeled for several fashion brands, such as Pond’s, Elle 18, Color Pops, Matte Lipstick, and Head & Shoulders.
She worked as an assistant director on Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Bajirao Mastani, and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 in 2015 alongside Luv Ranjan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She made her acting debut in 2020 alongside Sunny Kaushal in the online series The Forgotten Army: Azaadi ke liye on Amazon Prime.
Alongside Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, and Siddhant Chaturvedi3, she debuted on screen in the comedy “Bunty Aur Babli 2” (2021). She won the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female and the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance.
Sharvari appeared in the sleeper hit comedy-horror movie “Munjya” in 2024. She also acted with John Abraham in the action drama “Vedaa,” where she represented a Dalit woman in the lead character. The film showed her range as an actress even though it wasn’t a commercial success.
